The below job description will outline this position of: Commodity Manager
Typically, this person will source material, negotiate and manage commercial contracts to enable the company to run its supply chain functions to meet its cost and cash goals.

Duties and responsibilities of the Commodities Manager:
•        Create Supplier Long term agreements, encompassing performance targets
•        Engage with suppliers to create "best practice" initiatives, supporting the end-to end supply chain
•        Drive a culture of cost reduction and price reduction
•        Complying with and upholding company policies and procedures
•        Identify supplier risk and deploy mitigation
Qualifications and requirement for the Commodities Manager:
•       Minimum 5+ years' experience working in a commodity management structure
•       CIPS qualified
•       Demonstrable track record of identifying and delivering material cost savings
•       Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Syteline/INFOR preferred)
