The role
Are you passionate about making a difference in education? Are you a recent graduate or a teaching assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to work full time in an independent school in Oundle.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will cover classes across all age groups within a Primary School. The lessons will always be planned and this will be provided in advance. It is your role to facilitate the classes learning, managing classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful Cover Supervisors are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organised and they have a passion for education and supporting young people.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Have a willingness to learn.
- A passion for the progress of Primary school pupils.
- Be a natural leader and someone with confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher.
- Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
