We are seeking a Prepper Technician to join an automotive supplier in Banbury working to bespoke specifications showcasing world-class standards and finesse.

You will play a crucial role in the meticulous restoration and presentation of luxurious carbon fibre panels and parts. This opportunity offers competitive pay rates on a long-term contract basis. You will be responsible for the preparation of luxury vehicles working to bespoke and custom specifications - This position is ideal for those with a broad range of skills including preparing vehicle parts and panels for painting by inspecting surfaces, sanding, masking, and applying fillers and primers to create a smooth, even base. To ensure surfaces are clean and free from contaminants, perform quality checks, and support a high standard of application.

Working hours:

We understand that every individual’s circumstances are different – with this in mind, you can take your pick of two shifts which will be fixed for you to allow a better work-life balance to suit your needs!

  • Lates: 2pm – 10pm (Monday – Friday)
  • Nights: 10pm – 6am (Sunday – Thursday)

Who is the ideal person?

  • Can examine vehicle panels and parts for imperfections, scratches, or dents, ensuring surfaces are suitable for the painting process.
  • Able to sand down surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other contaminants, achieving a smooth base for primer.
  • Can carefully mask off areas to protect them from paint overspray, ensuring clean lines and adherence to specifications.
  • Can fill dents or scratches and apply primer to surfaces, creating an even foundation for the next layer.
  • Can thoroughly clean and degrease parts and panels to remove dust, oils, or other contaminants that could affect adhesion.
  • Has the ability to inspect prepped parts before the next process, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications for smoothness and cleanliness.
