Working week: Monday to Friday 42.5 hrs

We are now seeking to recruit 2 Mig and Tig Welders to work for a busy manufacturing company based in Middleton. The company are looking to grow their current team by 4 due a full order book.


Responsibilities of Mig Welder

  • Mig or Tig welding of carbon steel, with some stainless-steel fabrication and various pipe and flange work in carbon and stainless steel
  • Working from drawings, you’ll fabricate and weld a variety of vessels and pipework
  • Involves all aspects of fabrication, including cutting, welding and finishing to a high standard
  • In-factory work with all PPE provided plus continuous training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of welding processes including MIG and TIG
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks including lifting and carrying
  • Able to produce product within standard times set by the business
  • Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
  • Able to read design/manufacturing drawings accurately
  • Understanding of industry Health and Safety practices
  • Eye for detail and can pass product to next department at a high standard
  • Works well unsupervised and can weld in all positions
