Workshop Operative

Our client based in Colden Common (Winchester) who are a leading, independent manufacturer within the CNC Machining Market, are looking for a Workshop Operative to join their growing team on a temp to perm basis. Our client creates bespoke sculptures, models or prototype objects on both a smaller and larger scale for clients such as Google and Virgin. 

The role of the Workshop Operative will be working in the factory doing a mix of Emulsion Painting, Sanding, Welding & Prepping. The ideal candidate will be willing to work as part of a small team, have willingness to learn and progress within the business. There is also an opportunity for this role to progress quickly into a Team Leader/Supervisory role. 

Duties of the Role:
- Laminating Fibreglass Mats
- Emulsion Painting/Sanding
- Welding/Prepping 
- Fast progression into a Teams Leader/Supervisor Role 
- Working together with other team members to hit deadlines.

Experience Required:
- Worked within a mechanical environment 
- Previous use of hand tools
- Previous Experience working with Fibreglass would be a bonus but training will be given
- Good Dexterity
- Basic Computer Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Willingness to learn and train 
- Driving Licence Preferred due to location

Offer:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:15am to 5pm (1hr lunch break deducted) Overtime available at x1.5 and x2
- £11.65ph Starting Rate (£23k annual salary) - Uplift of between £25k-£30k once perm.
