Are you an ACCA/ACA part-qualified auditor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality audits? Our client - a dynamic, top 40 accountancy practice serving entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals across Central and Southern England - is seeking an Audit Semi-Senior for their Oxford office. This permanent role offers both full-time and part-time options with hybrid and flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle, along with a competitive salary of £36,000 to £45,000.

The Role

  • Build long-lasting client relationships
  • Work on a variety of interesting and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors
  • Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldwork - with increasing responsibility as you progress
  • Ensure audit assignments (or sections of larger audits) are completed to a high standard, on time and within agreed budgets
  • Prepare corporation tax computations
  • Manage your own workload efficiently while consistently exceeding client expectations
  • Supervise, train and support more junior colleagues
  • Occasionally assist with preparing accounts alongside audit-focused duties

About You

  • ACCA/ACA part-qualified
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' UK audit practice experience
  • Preferably holding a University degree with at least a 2:1 or equivalent (or a minimum of 3 A-Levels at grades A, B, B or above)
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH would be advantageous
  • Fully fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong IT skills - particularly in Excel - and the ability to quickly master new IT packages
  • A positive, confident and proactive attitude, creating a great impression with clients and colleagues alike
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
  • A team player who is equally comfortable working independently and following established procedures
