In this role, you'll lead an audit team, mentor junior staff, and manage a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll be responsible for planning and executing statutory audits for corporate clients, both in the office and on-site at client locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, carry out, and finalise audit assignments while supporting the audit manager.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax calculations, and returns for limited companies and groups.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling services.
  • Assist with other compliance tasks, including preparing VAT returns.
  • Prepare accounts for partnerships and sole traders, including drafting income tax calculations.
  • Communicate workload progress to management and plan for efficient task completion.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Train and oversee junior staff members.
  • Prepare management accounts.
Requirements:
  • Competent in audit, accounting and tax software.
  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent (OR studying towards)
  • Full clean drivers licence.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiar with accounting software e.g. Sage and Xero
  • Previous use of CCH and Caseware would be an advantage
  • Excel skills - including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables
