This is a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a team at the Central Oxford office of this growing and innovative organisation. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be in the office 2/3 days per week. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be helping to provide efficient and accurate finance and administrative support to the wider business.
Based in central Oxford with no onsite parking available. This is a hybrid-working role, and you will be required to work in the office 2/3 days per week.
Finance Assistant Responsibilities
As the Finance Assistant, some of your duties will include:
- Create and close job codes for projects and upload them to Xero
- Processing invoices and expenses
- Credit card reconciliation
- Xero payment runs
- Raise sales invoices to clients in Xero & Ariba (client system)
- Monitor AR and minimal credit control from time to time
- Assist FD with the month closing
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly MA reports
- Basic Reconciliation/account analysis
- Order childcare vouchers monthly in line with payroll instructions
- Working alongside the Ops manager to carry out admin tasks and responsibilities to ensure continuity of business needs.
- Generate purchase order numbers for regular suppliers/freelancers monthly
- Answering calls on the main line (shared responsibility with the ops manager)
- Any other ad hoc finance & Office admin duties as and when required to support the business

Finance Assistant Experience
The successful candidate will have strong experience working within a finance team, and you must have very strong reconciliation experience, with the ability to also get involved in other aspects of the office administration.
You will be collaborative, highly organised, analytical and adaptable to change. The ideal candidate will have a positive and proactive attitude, you will enjoy improving processes and getting involved in ad hoc projects.
