Financial Accountant

We are proud to be partnering with a bio-tech firm in the South Oxford area who are looking to bring in a financial accountant to their already talented accounting team in a hybrid working capacity.

This is a newly created position and because the current team is established and stable they are able to consider part-qualified accountants as well as recently qualified as they will have time to invest in training and support. They will offer study support as well as a fantastic platform for continued career development in a challenging position that will see the successful applicant take on the below responsibilities.

Tasks:

• Perform tasks to support the month end process including;
• Monthly accruals and prepayments, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset and depreciation journals
• Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory reporting
• Supporting year end internal and external audit
• Business partnering with other teams for effective cost management
• Continually look to improve process and controls

Suitable applicants will:

• Be part or recently qualified - CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• Be able to demonstrate significant financial accounting experience to date
• Ideally have a sound understanding of accounting standards like IFRS
• Have experience with large ERP systems
