Our client is a rapidly expanding business with offices in the Oxford area. They have a newly created permanent position in their Finance team for a Financial Accountant.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Supporting the annual statutory audit process, including preparation of audit files, analysis, and responding to auditor queries.
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and preparing commentary where necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting group financial reporting requirements and ensuring data accuracy.
- Supporting the FC with implementing and monitoring financial controls and risk management procedures.
- Working to deadlines to ensure timely month end and year end financial close processes, pro actively communicating any delays and ensuring financial data integrity is maintained.
- Processing and reconciling corporate allocations, transfer pricing adjustments, R&D recharges, and tax provisions.
- Working closely with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure assist with financial transaction processing.
- Assisting in cash flow management, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely remittance of funds.
- Assisting in financial system improvements, including ERP enhancements and reporting automation.
Candidates that apply can be qualified by experience, part or fully qualified but must have recent financial accounting experience in industry or practice. You should have a strong grasp of financial controls, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to use ERP systems as well as Excel proficiently.
On offer is a basic salary of between 40-60k (depending on experience), a travel allowance and bonus, plus an enhanced benefits package.
