We are seeking a dedicated Finance professional from an Audit, Internal Controls or Fraud related background to lead our team in ensuring financial compliance and mitigating fraud risks. The role is based in Oxford, with flexible working. 1 day per week in the office but you must be willing to be in the office as required for the role.

Description

  • Leading the financial assurance team and managing a robust counter fraud programme.
  • Implementing fraud detection and prevention strategies in line with industry best practices.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on financial assurance matters.
  • Providing regular reports on financial assurance activities to relevant committees.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Promoting a culture of integrity and transparency across the organisation.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Handling any financial irregularities or discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Profile

A successful Financial Assurance and Counter Fraud Manager should have:

  • A degree
  • Fully/ Newly Qualified Accountant ( ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience in a similar role
  • Experience in financial management, assurance, counter fraud or a background in Audit.
  • Experience working in or auditing large complex organisations
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Based in the UK with full working rights
