Interim Fixed Asset Accountant - Oxford - intial 6 month contract £250-£300 a day (via umbrella)
In2 Consult are partnering with a business in Oxford on the recruitment of a Fixed Asset Accountant for an initial 6 month contract.
The key duties of this Fixed Asset Accountant role includes:
- Ownership of the Fixed Assset Register - reporting montly appreciation and depreciation
- Presenting updates/trends to senior stakeholders
- Cross functional Buisness Partnering
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals, and transfers are accurately recorded.
- Conduct periodic reviews and physical audits of fixed assets to verify existence and condition.
- Reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger regularly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to fixed assets, including depreciations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
Qualifications and neccesary experience:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA minimum part qualified
- Proven experience in fixed asset accounting, preferably in a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
