Are you a qualified Financial Controller with high levels of complex audit experience? If so, this new contract may be of interest to you. I'm currently working with a leading scientific company spun out of Oxford University who are keen to get a new contractor in place to start 6th January 2025.
The company require an experienced Financial Controller who will work closely with the CFO and senior team as well as overseeing the management of the transactional finance team below them. This is an initial 3-6 month contract to bridge permanent recruitment but also to be involved in their first Group Audit for all entities (UK and international)
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage the yearly audit and reporting cycle for all legal entities.
- Preparation of the annual statutory financial statements
- Management of the statutory audit and liaison with the external audit team (PwC)
- Support with technical accounting matters including corporate transactions.
- Management of all company tax filings and management of overseas tax matters including VAT, Sales tax, Corporate tax and R&D tax
- Oversee Transfer Pricing, YoY comparatives and Revenue Recognition (working closely with the FP&A Manager)
- Month-end reporting
Experience working within Life Sciences or a similar environment is desirable, preferably within a SaaS environment.
You must be qualified or a similar level (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have extensive experience as a Financial Controller with additional Audit experience.
This is a fast-paced environment and with the Group Audit imminent (Year-end to be completed by April) you must be able to work to strict deadlines.
This is a hybrid role (minimum of 1 office day per week) and based on the edge of Oxford City Centre. Due to the speed of the need for a contractor, interviews will take place before Christmas ready for you to start 6th January 2025.
