Description
- As the Indirect Tax Specialist your main responsibilities include providing assistance to the Customs and Export Control Department head, defining and operating processes and systems independently, and ensuring effective and efficient completion of indirect tax compliance activities.
- You will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining an effective internal indirect tax control environment in compliance with emerging government regulations for all supported entities.
- Leading tax audits and monitoring of external service providers will be part of this role to ensure compliance with regulations and responding to multitude of tax and customs related queries.
- Part of your role will involve developing a network and partnerships relevant to indirect tax processes and projects. You will also cross-train and provide backup to the indirect tax team as assigned by management.
- You will support the standardisation and harmonisation of indirect tax operations and processes within the Group entities in your assigned field of responsibility.
- You will keep process partners informed and provide them with the necessary information, training, guidance, and instructions to fulfill trade-related information requests from the group in a timely manner and through automated processes.
Profile
A successful Indirect Tax Specialist should have:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- University degree or equivalent in business administration/economics/law or vocational training in economics with additional qualification. Chartered Accountant certification and/or Chartered Tax certification beneficial.
- Working experience in indirect tax in a global corporation. Customs and Export Control knowledge advantageous.
- Process modelling and SAP knowledge (ERP/S4HANA/SD/MM/SRM/GTS) are preferential.
Job Offer
- A salary range of £50,000 - £60,000.
- The ability to work in a hybrid environment - 3 days in the office in Oxford, 2 days remotely.
