I am seeking a diligent and detail-oriented management accountant for a 6 month temporary contract within a busy finance department. The role is based in Abingdon and requires a candidate who can offer both strategic insights and practical accounting skills.

Description
The Management Accountant will:
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
- Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
- Produce month end and year-end journals
- Prepare statutory and management accounts
- Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
- Manage capital expenditure
- Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
- Accountability for cash flow
- Fixed assets - you would oversee asset tracking, depreciation, compliance, maintenance, disposal, system implementation, and financial planning
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent level.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical ability and strategic thinking.
Job Offer
- Salary: Equivalent of £45,000 - £55,000 annual salary.
- 6 months temporary contact.
- Start date: April 2025.
