Reed Finance are pleased to be partnering with a historic organisation in Central Oxford who are seeking a Qualified Management Accountant to join their growing finance function. Working within a team of 8 and reporting into the Financial Controller, this role is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional seeking the chance to develop their skills and expand their career within a progressive team environment.  You will be widely involved in the overall provision of the quality processes and liaise with other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support budgeting, management accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Act as backup for the Controller and College Accountant as needed.
  • Execute budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Support endowment administration activities, including working with external service providers.
  • Manage project accounting activities for College subsidiaries.
  • Assist with College taxation affairs, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation tax.
  • Participate in financial process reviews, data analysis, and ad hoc projects.

This role is best suited to a candidate with strong Excel skills, including Vlookup and Pivot tables, as well as the ability to communicate complex financial issues effectively with different areas of the business, including non-finance employees. Experience in financial analysis and reporting.

The role offers a competitive salary, fantastic benefits including an excellent enhanced pension. The role works on a hybrid model of 1-day WFH and 4 days office based, however flexible working hours are offered.
