We are looking for an experienced Project Cost Controller or Project Manager with a manufacturing background to establish a framework for Cost Management on large programmes.
The hiring company is a large manufacturer located near Oxford, seeking to enhance control mechanisms for monitoring costs, risks, budgets, and revenue projections.
Candidates should have experience in managing global complex programmes with budgets ranging from £100 million to £1 billion, and must be able to work in the office near Oxford.

Ideal candidates will have a degree and qualifications in accounting, with a strong emphasis on setting up cost control environments and supporting finance teams.

We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller / PMO / Programme or Project Manager from a Manufacturing background with specific skills in setting up the framework for Cost Management across large and complex programmes.

The hiring company is a large manufacturer based near Oxford. Due to high investment in global programmes they are looking to set up the control mechanisms to monitor the programmes costs, risks, budgets, and revenue projections

Description

Set up from scratch a single source within the programme to ensure costs are are monitored and visible across Design, Development and Production.

Maintain detailed cost breakdowns that align with financial reporting in the ERP system.

Leverage granular cost details to hold budget owners accountable for their commitments.

Monitor, forecast, and analyze programme cash flow and profitability.

Identify and develop opportunities that deliver real-time cost benefits.

Support the finance team with budgeting and forecasting in line with programme targets.

Manage booking codes and ensure reconciliation between the programme and finance team.

Track revenue and collaborate with the finance team on revenue recognition activities.

Monitor labour bookings across the programme to support workforce planning.

Profile

A successful Project Cost Controller should have:

Essential:

Experience working on global complex programmes in a Manufacturing business.
Experience setting up a Cost Control environment for large ( £100m - £1B) programmes in Manufacturing
Experience setting up templates, risk logs, budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis
UK Right to work
Able to attend the office near Oxford to meet Stakeholders
