Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are working with a dynamic and forward-thinking educational institution who are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis for 1-2 months with the chance of this becoming a permanent position. This role will be 4 days per week up until 1st April then upped to 5 days per week. They need someone to start Tuesday next week and this will be paying up to £18.70per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Intercompany Balance Sheet Account.
  • Identify coding and create intercompany journals for review.
  • Import and post journals onto accounting system.
  • Distribute monthly statements to cardholders to enable them to complete expense claims.
  • Create journal for review and authorisation.
  • Download monthly invoices and identify relevant costs by department.
  • Input journal onto accounting system.
  • Reconciliation and data cleansing of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Purchase Ledger account reconciliations.
  • Organised, self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Strong transactional accounting knowledge, ideally AAT qualified.
  • IT skills including good working knowledge of Excel, MS Office, Teams, and accounting systems (Mercury).
