Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant seeking a new challenge in a a growing and exciting organisation?

Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be working with a growing and dynamic organisation in Oxford to source a newly created Accounts Assistant to join a close knit team. The role offers a competitive salary, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), excellent pension scheme, remote working, flexible working patter, bonus and opportunity to learn and develop.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that core financial processes and policies are followed efficiently with full use of systems, suggesting (and implementing) improvements where needed.
  • Posting all transactions into our consolidated, multi-currency ERP accounting package efficiently and with a high level of accuracy.
  • Processing purchase orders, supplier invoices and supplier payments and manage supplier relationships, including supplier onboarding.
  • Ensure purchase invoices have that correct VAT treatment (invoices received from multiple countries globally into two group entities)
  • Manage and maintain relationship with banks, including bank account administration and daily bank reconciliations
  • Raising bank payments for approval and monitoring cash balances between bank accounts to ensure that each account has a sufficient balance.
  • Maintenance of tangible and intangible fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of prepayments and accruals
  • Take ownership of the admin filing system on Microsoft 365, in particular the contracts folder.
  • To assist any member of the wider team in ensuring a team-focussed and efficient business operations department.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a well rounded accounts background and an interest in developing further. You will be systems savvy, ideally having worked on a range of packages or Xero, Netsuite and Excel. You will be communicative and have a excellent written and verbal communication skills. A self motivated attitude will also be required in this remote role. Whilst the role is remote, you may occasionally be required to travel.
