About the JobThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start or further a career in finance. Supporting the Finance team, you’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger and supplier management, working closely with the Financial Controller. The role offers full training and the chance to build knowledge in a professional finance function.

Duties will include:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices and securing appropriate authorisations
  • Coding and preparing invoices for approval and system entry
  • Maintaining supplier records and reconciling monthly statements
  • Running the monthly payment process and aged creditors reports
  • Handling new supplier set-up, including employment status checks
  • Assisting with month-end bank reconciliations and accounting entries
  • Supporting year-end accounts preparation and donation matching
  • Participating in daily banking and debt chasing
  • Carrying out general administrative finance tasks and stock ordering

About the Successful ApplicantYou will hold or be studying towards AAT Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) and have at least one year’s experience in a finance role, ideally in accounts payable. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills are essential, as is a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
