Summer Fields is a boarding and day school for approximately 320 boys aged 4 to 13 years. The school is situated in Summertown, two miles north of the centre of Oxford and has 70 acres of superb grounds.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Part-time School Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Headmaster; the Deputy Head (Pastoral); the Director of Sport and the front office team (including the PA to the Deputy Heads and the School Receptionists). The School Systems Administrator will play a key role in the administrative management of the school, in particular, the efficiency with which information is collected from and distributed to parents; boys; and staff; via the school’s on-line systems.

The successful candidate will have a sense of vocation for working in a school environment. Other requirements are:-

  • Proficient ICT skills with experience of using various software applications.
  • The skills required to oversee the school’s information management; extra-curricular activities administration; and trips administration systems.
  • The aptitude to develop skills necessary for the efficient oversight of these systems.
  • A passion for organisation and administration.
  • The capacity to contribute to the wider life of the school from an administrative position, liaising with staff, parents and pupils.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team within the front office.

The post would suit candidates who are familiar with iSAMS, SOCS and EVOLVE and who have previously worked in school administration. However, the role would also suit candidates who are approaching a career in school administration for the first time. Candidates will be expected to have very strong ICT skills and the potential to develop these further to ensure the smooth running of the school.
