We have partnered with a fast growing catering company who are experts in providing high-quality catering and food services. This company pride themselves on delivering exceptional experiences for their customers and are dedicated to sustainability, innovation and fostering strong relationships.We are now looking for a Bid Writer who can be based remotely to join their high performing and ambitious team, you must be prepared to travel to visit clients when required.We welcome applications from experienced Bid Writers who are looking for their next step into a Bid Manager role.As a Bid Writer, you will play an important role in business development by creating compelling, persuasive, and successful proposals to secure new contracts. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including the sales, marketing, and operations teams, to produce high-quality written content that meets the specific needs of independent education and B&I sectors.Responsibilities as a Bid Manager will include:
  • Lead the end-to-end bid writing process, from initial proposal drafting to final submissions.
  • Research and understand the requirement of each tender, ensuring that responses are compliant and competitive
  • Develop and produce high scoring, tailored bid responses for tenders.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and operations teams to gather relevant information and ensure proposals are aligned with client needs and company strengths.
  • Edit, proofread, and review all bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency.
  • Manage the bid submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Track the success of bids, provide feedback for continuous improvement, and analyse reasons for bid outcomes.
Key requirements to be considered as a Bid Manager:
  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within education catering or hospitality sector.
  • Strong understanding of the independent education and B&I sectors, with the ability to tailor proposals to these audience groups. 
  • Exceptional written communications skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • High attention to detail and excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
