As an Aircraft Fitter you will be responsible for Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment
  • Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
  • Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the company's MOE and supporting manuals
  • Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions
  • Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a "clean as you go" approach
  • Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures
  • Complying with the AAG DS safety policy
  • Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard
  • An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements
  • Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture

Candidate Requirements

  • Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK, unfortunately sponsorship cannot currently be offered.
  • Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy AAG DS Training / Maintenance management team.
  • Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Be able to successful complete MOD security clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft
  • Previous exposure to AirN@v and Amos
  • Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations (desirable)
  • Have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Possess proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner
  • IPAF/MEWP familiarisation

Typical Working Conditions

  • Primarily based in Brize Norton however travel may be required
  • Shift will be 5,5,4-day shift (Apply online only)
