Salary: £30-40,000 Dependant on experience

Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be supporting an award-winning and multi-disciplinary team based in Oxford, who due to continued success are looking to add to their technical team. The practice work across a wide variety of sectors, with some of their recent work covering Commercial, Conservation, Residential, Healthcare and Education projects.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of building pathology. To succeed in this role, you should have several years post qualification experience in a UK based practice with excellent AutoCAD skills. You should also have some working knowledge in Revit.

Whilst he practice are predominantly office based, flexibility can be offered based on individual circumstances.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Architectural Technologist:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with the ability to complete standard drawing packages and schedules in Revit. Ideally, candidates with stronger skills in Revit than AutoCAD would be particularly advantageous.
  • Candidates should be prepared to travel to project sites located up to three hours from Oxford. While the majority of projects are within an hour's reach of Oxford, some contracts extend to Birmingham, the Midlands, and the broader southeast region of England.
  • A driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • MCIAT accreditation is preferred, or at least candidates should be actively working toward it.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent technical capabilities shown throughout your supporting portfolio.
  • Experience with additional software like Adobe Photoshop, Google SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino 3D, and Autodesk Forma is beneficial but not required.
