JOB - Sales Engineer

SALARY - 30,000-40,000 p/a

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Oxfordshire that is looking to hire a Sales Engineer. Experience in the aerospace or defence sector is highly desirable for this role.

The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree or qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related field (HND, HNC, BEng, BSc, etc.).

  • Previous experience in a technical sales or business development role within engineering or manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace or defence industry, including its standards and regulations.

  • Strong technical understanding to discuss engineering solutions with customers.

  • Proven ability to generate leads, manage customer relationships, and close sales.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

The Sales Engineer role will involve:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the aerospace and defence sectors.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.

  • Providing technical support and guidance to customers regarding product specifications.

  • Preparing and delivering sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.

  • Negotiating contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

  • Collaborating with internal teams, including engineering and production, to ensure customer requirements are met.

  • Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to promote the company's capabilities.
