Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Oxfordshire that is looking to hire a Sales Engineer. Experience in the aerospace or defence sector is highly desirable for this role.
The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related field (HND, HNC, BEng, BSc, etc.).
- Previous experience in a technical sales or business development role within engineering or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the aerospace or defence industry, including its standards and regulations.
- Strong technical understanding to discuss engineering solutions with customers.
- Proven ability to generate leads, manage customer relationships, and close sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the aerospace and defence sectors.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers regarding product specifications.
- Preparing and delivering sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.
- Negotiating contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including engineering and production, to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to promote the company's capabilities.
