Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a flexible, temporary, part-time role?

We have just registered a fantastic part-time assignment working for a well-established local charity. If you have proven experience in a similar role, using Xero, we want to hear from you!

This role is due to start at the beginning of January 2025 and you will be working 15 hours per week, spread across Monday to Friday. Please note, these must be worked in standard business hours.

Please note this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. It will not be possible to work as a limited contractor. Please only apply if you are available immediately

Temporary Part-Time Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

  • Managing the sales and purchase ledger using Xero to allocate all transactions and make ready for monthly VAT submission
  • Supporting with the preparation of Month End reporting
  • Raising POs
  • Coding suppliers and ensuring these are matched correctly on Xero
  • Ensuring reports and data are recorded accurately and on timeManaging reconciliations and invoicing

Temporary Part-Time Bookkeeper Requirements

To be successful you will have recently worked as a bookkeeper or within a similar role. You will also have:

  • Proven and recent experience using Xero to code and reconcile
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, including advanced Excel
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
  • A can-do attitude, with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to discuss confidential and sensitive issues with empathy, confidence and professionalism
