Area Manager
We have been appointed by a highly reputable main contractor to assist in their search for an Area Manager to join the business near Oxford. The business operates out of several regional offices across the UK undertaking projects across the commercial, education, healthcare and residential sectors. The business is privately owned and works across both the public and private sectors, having secured a place on various local and national frameworks.
About the role of Area Manager:
As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the business unit with an emphasis on work winning and business development. You will be responsible for strengthening the existing team, building rapport with existing team members and identifying gaps.
Key Responsibilities as Area Manager will include:
- Business Development and work wining
- Identifying new opportunities
- Building client relationships
- Collaborating with other regional offices to ensure social values are upheld
- Providing support and guidance within the existing team including monitoring performance and acting accordingly
- Recruiting staff to strengthen the business unit
Key Requirements for this Area Manager role:
- Experience in work-winning / pre-construction roles
- Strong existing relationships within the region will be beneficial
- Have worked within a main contractor at a senior management level
- Be contractually astute
- Live within a commutable distance to Oxfordshire
