Summary

We are seeking a talented Voice and Network Engineer to join a busy Voice & Network Team based in a very high-profile Public-Sector setting. This is a great time to join our Client, they provide a critical service at a local level and they have exciting technology plans in the pipeline providing opportunity for all IT support teams members.

Role:

Within the network team, the voice engineers are responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration and administration of the voice estate. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large voice platforms and working with a busy 24/7, multimedia contact centre, working with voice service providers and have experience with legacy and future voice technologies.

You will play a key role in supporting the business-as-usual initiative responsible for resolving technical issues, assist with lifecycle management of existing solutions and carry out routine housekeeping and maintenance checks to maximize system availability. You will apply functional knowledge and technical support to the various network offerings and contribute towards innovative solutions to customers.

The successful candidate:

  • 3+ years' experience in resolving voice and network issues in an enterprise environment including as many of the following as possible:

Avaya System/Session Manager

Avaya Communication Manager (V10)

Avaya CS1k

Avaya Aura Contact Centre (AACC) 7

Redbox Recording Solutions

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, able to communicate complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Clean and current Full UK driving license to be able to travel to locations across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire as required.
  • Ability to produce high quality technical documentation including;

> Standard operating procedures

> Knowledge base articles

> Detailed troubleshooting documentation

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience managing wireless networks across a large estate
  • Experience working with ISP's or vendors to manage corporate network and voice infrastructure
  • Cisco IOS
