Chief of Staff

Location: Oxford: Office based but with flexibility

About Us: My client is an innovative startup in the engineering space. With a dynamic team and a rapidly growing presence, they are seeking a strategic and driven Chief of Staff to partner with our CEO and leadership team.

Position Overview: As the Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our executive team. You will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, helping to manage the day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional projects that are critical to our success. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and have a tangible impact on the direction of a high-growth startup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Assist the CEO in developing and executing company strategies, including setting goals, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Project Management: Oversee key projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline internal processes and workflows to improve organizational efficiency and scalability.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between the CEO and various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  • Meeting Management: Organize and manage leadership meetings, preparing agendas, tracking action items, and following up on deliverables.
  • Culture and Team Development: Foster a positive and collaborative company culture, supporting employee engagement and development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff role, management consulting, or similar strategic role in a start up
  • Experience of fund raising.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth.
