Evolve are exclusively partnering with a market-leading Ophthalmology organisation who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for increasing market awareness of all their clients products and driving new opportunities and sale.
This is a field-based role generating sales through new business and account management based in the south-central area of the UK.

Ideal Requirements for a Business Development Manager
- A relevant degree would be desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience as a pharmaceutical or medical device representative, ideally specialising in the optic market.
- Will also consider candidates with an FMCG background.
- Must be able to understand sales data - skills to interpret sales trends, handle collection, collation and use of data to assist in account and territory analysis and planning.
- Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and handling own work.
Role Responsibilities for a Business Development Manager
- Effectively position our clients product portfolio for the customers from both a clinical and commercial perspective.
- To manage the promotional budget effectively, and to maximise the return on investment by ensuring value for money.
- Maintain and develop strong product ad therapy area knowledge for all promoted products and competitors at all times.
- To be responsible for the delivery of pre-set objectives on sales, activity and other metrics to grow sales in the optical market.
