Join one of the UK's largest independent Weighing and Traceability companies as a Sales Manager. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven professional to drive sales across the South of England, working with manufacturers in the food, industrial, logistics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

This is a key role that requires a proactive approach to sales, relationship management, and business development. Some travel to customer sites and other regions will be necessary.

Role Overview:

As Sales Manager, you will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, managing sales enquiries for a range of software and hardware solutions. An interest in tech, IT systems, and software solutions is essential due to the nature of our products. While a background in software, electronic systems, or engineering is advantageous, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry to order placement and equipment commissioning.

Identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts.

Generate sales within new and existing markets by introducing the clients product range.

Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations to customers.

Work closely with Marketing and Internal Sales to follow up on campaigns and drive engagement.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Technical, Quality, Engineering, Finance, IT, and Production teams.

Conduct customer meetings both face-to-face and online.

Collaborate with Technical and Product Managers to align sales strategies with customer needs.

Support Key Account Management activities where required.

Prime Tasks:

Meet and exceed sales targets in line with company goals.

Achieve personal KPIs and contribute to regional growth.

Develop and execute sales and forecasting plans to expand market presence.

Conduct outbound calls to both existing and prospective customers to drive brand awareness.

Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, ensuring timely updates on sales opportunities.

Process customer requests efficiently, including technical queries, quotes, and service contracts.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience in B2B sales.

Experience in selling Capital Equipment, Software, or similar solutions.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify business opportunities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365.

Experience using CRM systems.

Ability to conduct virtual meetings via Teams or Zoom.

A proactive and goal-oriented mindset with a "can-do" approach.
