Associate Structural Engineer - Oxford / Hybrid £70,000 - £80,000 Per Annum, Plus Car Allowance, Bonus, Pension & Benefits

An opportunity for a capable senior structural engineer who wants to become an Associate and to have further options to progress. The position is within our clients’ civil and structural division, the fastest growing part of this multidiscipline business, and one of the most profitable. Driving this growth is their work in the buoyant data centre, power distribution, battery storage, vehicle charging infrastructure, and renewables sectors. Their early involvement in this business area has enabled them to become the consultant of choice for leading blue chip companies and they have years of forward orders and continuing demand. In addition to this work they are also involved in mainstream building structures design.

Your Role: You will have responsibility for scheme design, the supervision of design production and mentoring of junior engineers. You will be involved in projects from client advisory stages, through to completion and will work closely with the partner in charge of the civil and structural division. Your role will evolve as you become familiar with the business and its clients, with increasing input on project selection, business strategy and commercial management, hastening your promotion to associate.

Profile Required: An ICE or IStructE chartered or incorporated engineer who has a background in building or industrial structures. A design background, that includes steel and concrete structures, with experience of project delivery that includes some supervision of junior engineers. There will be regular contact with clients and close collaboration with colleagues including senior management, strong interpersonal skills are vital. The position could suit an ambitious senior engineer /project engineer who is ready for a move up.
