About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pumps Engineer to join our team based near Oxford. This role involves the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of industrial and commercial pumps across various sectors. You will be working on-site and in the workshop, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, servicing, and repair of pumps, motors, and associated systems.
  • Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical pump systems.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns.
  • Working on various types of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers as needed.
  • Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Traveling to customer sites in the Oxfordshire area and occasionally beyond.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in pump maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of different types of pumps and their applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • A valid UK driving licence (essential).
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Experience working in industries such as water treatment, HVAC, or manufacturing is advantageous.
