I am actively seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join a dynamic, busy Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy team based in Oxford. The ideal candidate will be nearing Chartered Engineer status and possess a strong foundation in structural engineering principles. This role will involve contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, educational, and industrial.

Key responsibilities for this Structural Engineer include:

  • Lead small to mid-sized projects with some autonomy, while playing a key role in larger projects with senior oversight.
  • Support the management of structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Provide technical support on-site, addressing and resolving any structural challenges that arise during construction.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Skills and Qualificationsfor this Structural Engineer include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a structural focus), or a related field.
  • Close to achieving Chartered Engineer status with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with exposure to a variety of project types.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical and innovative structural solutions.
