Asbestos Surveyor

Salary of up to £40,500 for anyone who can work in Reading or Oxford (Thames Valley)

Here at Penguin Recruitment, we are delighted to be working alongside an independent, UKAS accredited, and Asbestos focused business located in London and the surrounding areas.

Our client has a wide variety of blue-chip organisations that operate across a diverse range on environmental and industrial sectors. The position I am recruiting for, an Asbestos Surveyor, will work primarily on Military Bases. Therefore, a Security check (SC check) and Developed Vetting Check (DV check) are necessary for the role which is why the salary is so attractive. They can offer more for someone who is dual trained as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst (Asbestos Consultant) or if you already have the check in place.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BOHS P402 and a minimum of 6 months experience
  • High level interpersonal skills

DUTIES

  • Responsible for the undertaking Management, Refurbishment, Demolition and Re-inspection Surveys of Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial properties
  • Ensure the delivery of reports to clients on time
  • Ensure unbiased and accurate information is given to clients to assist them in effectively managing their Asbestos
  • Ensuring personal air monitoring is undertaken at least once per month
  • Undertaking re-surveys and quality assurance works as required
  • Maintain impartiality, integrity, and independence throughout
  • Effectively communicating with Line/Operations Manager and clients (where appropriate)
  • Attend target and review meetings as required
  • To act as spokesperson for REC, communicating effectively between the other members to the Asbestos Team and Operations Managers
  • Assessment of work performed in terms of risk management and to ensure working practices and operations are always safe and in line with the Asbestos Quality Manual and REC IMS
  • Ensure that all the necessary quality records are completed and made available for regular internal review by a member of the Quality or Management team. This includes all contract review documents, equipment registers and job files
  • Develop and nurture client relationships, handling of enquiries and assist with the production of tenders
  • Proactively promoting all areas of the REC business to our existing and future client base including identifying cross selling opportunities for the wider business
