Job Title: Technician Civil Engineering

Location: Commutable to Perth or Oxford

Remuneration: £25,000 - £28,500 + Company profit related bonus

The role of the Technician Civil Engineering will involve:

Civil Engineering Technician position dealing with a high end range of geotechnical products
Reading drawings, quantifying materials and preparing outline quotes
Generating technical proposals, construction drawings and bespoke details, including the use of BIM
Working closely with the Area Engineers and Sales Team, responding to incoming phone calls and generating quotes
Undertake engineering designs and design proposals using AutoCAD design software
Participate in the creation of technical tools/ presentations etc and assist the technical teams on site visits/ technical presentations where required
Provide technical support to the operations of the construction teams
Work closely with Area Engineers to promote geotechnical engineering systems
Working on projects ranging in value up to circa £1,000,000

The ideal applicant will be a Technician Civil Engineering experience with:

Must have AutoCAD experience within the civil engineering / construction market sector

Ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of civil engineering products such as: reinforced soil walls, geomembranes, erosion control, drainage geocomposites, geogrids etc

Would also consider Architectural Technicians, Mechanical Engineering, CAD Designer, Design Engineer & Design Technicians etc

Willing to learn, full product and software training will be provided

Accurate and detail focussed

Personable with good telephone manner and strong written communication

Positive approach to customer service/ client support

HND/ HNC/ Degree industry related qualification would be highly advantageous
