We are currently looking for an experienced IoT/Cloud Software Engineer, to join a brilliant wireless technology client of ours in Oxford. The role is fast-paced, working in a supportive environment that enables you to make your mark as part of a growing team in cutting-edge technology. This role is Hybrid, so the ability to work on site in Oxford is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Connecting optical ground stations to cloud services
  • Delivering dashboards and user interfaces for remote operation of ground stations
  • Developing and deploying APIs and algorithms for interactions with external systems
  • Defining and implementing cloud architecture and services for new communications products

Requirements:

  • Experience of IoT systems integration, protocols, and services, including gRPC and MQTT
  • Cloud architecture and service implementation, including dashboards, databases, APIs, security / authentication for IoT systems
  • Linux Development with Python
  • At least 5 years commercial experience

Desirableadditional skills:

  • Service deployment, including IaC, containers, Docker etc
  • WAN networking and network performance modelling / optimisation
  • CI/CD pipelines, GIT version control, scripting, automation
  • Experience and interest in space industry
  • System modelling, including Matlab / Simulink
  • AI / ML, particularly for optimisation
