Position; CNC MACHINIST

Location; OXFORD

Salary; £17 - 19.00 PER HOUR

Our client, an innovative forward thinking engineering company are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to join their expanding team in their prototype workshop.

The role;

You will join the team as a key member playing a key role in the development process working closely with the design engineers to provide solutions within the manufacturing team.

Main responsibilities;

  • Key role in the development process working closely with design engineers

  • Responsible for producing, including; sourcing of material / tooling, CNC programming, machine setting and operating, or manually machining where appropriate

  • Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds

  • Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production

  • Inspecting work flows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met

  • Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining

About you;

  • Experience with programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Diligent attitude with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication, listening, and problem-solving
  • Proven track record of delivering work on time.

Required;

  • Specific experience with CNC turning
  • Ability to source tooling and materials required for projects.
  • Ability to use parametric 3D CAD.
  • Experience with manual machining, both milling and turning.
