Position; CNC MACHINIST

Location; OXFORD

Salary; £17 - 19.00 PER HOUR

Our client, an innovative forward thinking engineering company are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to join their expanding team in their prototype workshop.

The role;

You will join the team as a key member playing a key role in the development process working closely with the design engineers to provide solutions within the manufacturing team.

Main responsibilities;

Key role in the development process working closely with design engineers
Responsible for producing, including; sourcing of material / tooling, CNC programming, machine setting and operating, or manually machining where appropriate
Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
Inspecting work flows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining

About you;

Experience with programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Diligent attitude with good attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication, listening, and problem-solving
Proven track record of delivering work on time.

Required;

Specific experience with CNC turning
Ability to source tooling and materials required for projects.
Ability to use parametric 3D CAD.
Experience with manual machining, both milling and turning.
