Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Location: Oxfordshire (Regional role - candidates must be based in or near Oxfordshire)

Client Overview:

Our client is a prestigious construction company specialising in commercial refurbishment, with a particular focus on educational and heritage projects, including grade II listed buildings. They work with some of the most esteemed clients in the industry and are seeking a Senior Site Manager to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of refurbishment projects across the region, with an emphasis on commercial, educational, and heritage buildings (including grade II listed structures).

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Manage and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining a productive working environment.

Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with the Project Manager and other senior staff to report on project progress, challenges, and milestones.

Take a hands-on approach to site management, ensuring that all aspects of the construction process are efficiently executed.

Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, fostering strong relationships and providing expert guidance.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant site management experience, with a strong background in commercial refurbishment. Candidates with a refurbishment and education-focused portfolio will be highly regarded. A proven track record of managing projects in the £2M-£15M range (with most typically around £5M) is essential.

Background: A preference for candidates with a joinery background, though this is not essential. The company values candidates with a trade-oriented background.

Skills: Excellent communication and client-facing skills are a must, as you will be dealing directly with high-profile clients. You should also have strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and maintain project momentum.
