Our client, a reputable entity in the Public Sector, is seeking a Building Compliance and Safety Surveyor to join their team within the HTP discipline.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all construction-related projects in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
  • Ensure all relevant persons comply with CDM and associated legislation.
  • Manage safe systems of work, ensuring adherence to relevant processes and procedures.
  • Review and audit safety compliance processes, performing quality control checks and updating systems as necessary.
  • Provide robust support to staff, including auditing and compliance management.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register of projects and act as a centre point for CDM knowledge and compliance.
  • Carry out site audits for ongoing works and projects.
  • Produce regular compliance-related reports and contribute to other team activities as required.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in building surveying or a related field with a strong understanding of CDM regulations.
  • Formal qualifications supporting a track record of overseeing complex construction projects.
  • Ability to review and approve or decline appointments based on qualifications and competence.
  • Skilled in reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Experience providing guidance and training on RAMS, CDM, and permit procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to compile comprehensive reports.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and capable of working effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Proactive in performing tasks that ensure the effective management of the premises.
