Our client, a reputable entity in the Public Sector, is seeking a Building Compliance and Safety Surveyor to join their team within the HTP discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all construction-related projects in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
- Ensure all relevant persons comply with CDM and associated legislation.
- Manage safe systems of work, ensuring adherence to relevant processes and procedures.
- Review and audit safety compliance processes, performing quality control checks and updating systems as necessary.
- Provide robust support to staff, including auditing and compliance management.
- Maintain an up-to-date register of projects and act as a centre point for CDM knowledge and compliance.
- Carry out site audits for ongoing works and projects.
- Produce regular compliance-related reports and contribute to other team activities as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building surveying or a related field with a strong understanding of CDM regulations.
- Formal qualifications supporting a track record of overseeing complex construction projects.
- Ability to review and approve or decline appointments based on qualifications and competence.
- Skilled in reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
- Experience providing guidance and training on RAMS, CDM, and permit procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to compile comprehensive reports.
- Motivated, adaptable, and capable of working effectively both independently and within a team.
- Proactive in performing tasks that ensure the effective management of the premises.
