National Health & Safety Manager

UK – With current sites located in Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk

£60,000 + Car/Car Allowance

This is an opportunity to work for one of the UK Leading Contractors on a variety of high value MOD projects across the UK. Where you'll be supported to enable you progress your career within the business.

The Company

This organisation is one of the leading engineering and construction companies in the UK and provide specialist building, civil engineering, and rail expertise to a range of markets to provide a truly integrated service to clients. They possess proven experience and deliver successful projects in a wide range of industries, including commercial, industrial, education, rail infrastructure and depots, airports, waste, and energy. They will support both financially and through mentorship towards chartership and other relevant qualifications.

Key duties will include:

  • Be responsible for Health and Safety for all on site and promote a "Safety first" culture
  • Provide training and guidance on HSQE matters across the site
  • To ensure timely close out of actions from audits, inspections, accidents and incidents.
  • The monitoring and facilitating of compliance to the management system and the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 45001

About You

You will be an experienced Health and Safety professional within the Construction Sector. This role is working on MOD sites; therefore, you must be able to obtain Security Clearence. The role is to resurface runway at various MOD sites across the UK, so experience with Asphalt Concrete or Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) is a necessity.

You'll hold your NEBOSH qualification. The organisation will be looking for someone that will also be happy to travel for this role, working on projects from Oxfordshire, Norfolk, Lincolnshire as further north as Scotland. The organisation is willing to pay for accommodation should you wish to stay over at these locations to reduce travel.
