Our client is looking for an ambitious and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on the development of cutting-edge flow control products, including control and isolation valves, for industries such as oil & gas, energy, and water. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in expanding the ES Stemless valve range while contributing across the department on a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and update industrial valves using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy with GD&T (BS8888) standards.
  • Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) assessments to ensure product safety and reliability.
  • Manage design documents and drawings within the PDM system.
  • Draft technical reports, manuals, and procedures supporting product development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth product transitions from design to implementation.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • CAD proficiency, especially in SolidWorks.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent qualifications with industry experience).
  • Experience with FEA, PDM systems, and industry standards (BS, ISO, ASME).
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design, casting, forging, and valve development is highly beneficial.
