Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent term time day nursery who are looking to employ a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse to join their setting based near Horspath, Oxford, on either a full or part time basis. This homely and welcoming setting is a fun, caring family run nursery that dedicate time, resources and energy into providing the best care and opportunities for children. Along with a fantastic well-equipped outside play area and nature reserve for children to enjoy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities-

1. To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.

2. To be aware of the policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered to at all times; including Safeguarding and whistle blowing.

3. To be responsible for the welfare of all children in the Nursery, organising

systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

4. To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with safeguarding and whistleblowing policies.

5. To reflect on practice and routines, tailoring them to meet the individual needs of each child throughout the day.

6. To contribute to the planning in accordance with the EYFS and the provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities and ensuring Nursery is well-resourced and creatively set-up

7. To lead observations and the assessment of children’s learning and development ensuring records are kept up-to-date, are of a high standard and are shared effectively – includes Individual Education Plans for children with Special Educational Needs.

9. To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining

relationships that encourage trust, open communication and involvement in Nursery life.

10. To comply with any requirements identified in any risk assessment.
