Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant - Oxford:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons in this education and training role.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
  • Support students' social and emotional development
  • Assist with lesson preparation, administrative tasks, and school activities

Who We're Looking For:

  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their educational journey
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential - full training is provided!
  • SEN experience is a bonus but not required
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is advantageous
