Dunbar Education is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Marston, Oxford. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join the school and support pupils in KS1 and KS2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in childrenā€™s education while working in a collaborative and nurturing environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to the teacher, helping to deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with small groups of children or individual pupils to enhance learning and development
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials
  • Support the management of pupil behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
  • Help pupils with their reading, writing, and numeracy skills, ensuring they stay on track with their learning
  • Monitor pupilsā€™ progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils during school activities, including break times and school trips
  • Promote inclusion and help ensure that all pupils feel supported and valued

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach, with a passion for supporting childrenā€™s learning and development
  • Strong organisational skills, able to support the smooth running of the classroom
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
