Dunbar Education is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Marston, Oxford. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join the school and support pupils in KS1 and KS2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in childrenās education while working in a collaborative and nurturing environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to the teacher, helping to deliver engaging and effective lessons
- Work with small groups of children or individual pupils to enhance learning and development
- Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials
- Support the management of pupil behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
- Help pupils with their reading, writing, and numeracy skills, ensuring they stay on track with their learning
- Monitor pupilsā progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
- Assist with the supervision of pupils during school activities, including break times and school trips
- Promote inclusion and help ensure that all pupils feel supported and valued
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach, with a passion for supporting childrenās learning and development
- Strong organisational skills, able to support the smooth running of the classroom
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
