They have offices in Oxford, Cambridge and London that provide an excellent range of Ecological and Biodiversity Net Gain projects. An organisation that prioritises personal development through diverse experiences, support to gain protected species licenses and growth into varying specialisms.Your new roleYou will be involved with a full range of ecological consultancy services across residential, infrastructure, commercial, renewables and projects of cultural importance. Main duties may include…

  • Organising and from time to time, leading on site visits
  • Managing and leading on ecological surveys from PEAs, BNG assessments, Protected species, HRAs, and ECoW
  • Supervising the written reports for ecological surveys
  • Client liaising to deliver projects
  • Leading the team of more junior Ecologists to ensure project delivery
  • Business development to win new business

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Ecology or related subject
  • Extensive experience as an Ecologist in a permanent role
  • Knowledge of all key environmental legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client liaising skills
  • Team leadership experience
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Skills in GIS
  • CIEEM membership at appropriate level (ideal)
  • One or more Protected species licences (ideal)
  • Specialism in a specific protected species or group (ideal)
