We are currently looking for a dynamic, career driven Electrical Engineer for an industry leading Engineering business who produce cutting edge, specialist Tech for the Hydrogen/ green Energy Sector ! From their Sheffield HQ, they are going through a significant period of growth and are looking for career driven engineers to join their skilled team.
The Role
The role will encompass the design, build and test of their specialist equipment. It will also involve managing network connections for all sites You will be required to support company safety, quality and regulatory approval functions. The successful candidate will work without supervision but be able to seek support and advice when necessary.
- Electrical Installation Design (tray work/ ducting/equipment installation arrangements); previous experience in EPC advantageous
- Generate schematics and single line diagrams design
- Review Client and Supplier specs
- Creating equipment specifications, calculation sheets and manuals
- Creating Bills of Material/equipment lists
- Carrying out cable calculations
- Wiring Diagrams & cable schedule
- Electrical load schedule
- Participate in plant safety studies and design reviews (HAZOP/LOPA).
The Person
The ideal Electrical engineer will be career driven and meet the following criteria;
- Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline - Electrical Engineering
- 3 years+ experience within a design based Electrical engineering role (or similar)
- Basic understanding of IEC Standards and 'Explosive atmospheres' would be an advantage
- Proficient user of CAD software packages
- Good working experience with industrial electrical systems.
