Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am til 3pm
First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production and Assembly Operative on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Oxford. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader. Adopting good workmanship standards, paying particular attention to quality.
- Assist in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.
- Assist in the preparation and bonding of boats.
- Assist in the cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded boats.
- Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as direct by your line supervisor.
- Assist in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.
- Assist in the training of other personnel including new production operatives as required.
- Maintain workstation in a clean and tidy state.
- Operates in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedure, and other related company policies.
- To carry out such tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by senior management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A good standard of general education.
- Either qualified by experience (2 years plus) or Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years plus experience of working in a similar environment.
- Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.
- Can do attitude.
- Self-motivated and be able to work on own initiative.
- Problem solver.
- Good communicator – be able to understand and communicate instructions clearly and effectively.
- Good attention to detail.
- Highly organised and be able to prioritise work.
- Good work ethic.
- Team Player.
