Are you an experienced Electronics Assembly Technician? Are you immediately available and looking for an opportunity to working with a world renowned research institute?

We are currently seeking multiple Technicians to join a research organisation at their Lab in Oxford. In this role, you will be involved in the assembly, testing and development of electronics and components for use in spaceflight missions. This is a temporary role, expected to last until the end of March 2025.

Role Overview

  • Temporary , Full Time (37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri). Start Date ASAP, expected End Date 31st March 2025. £23.08ph-£25.64ph DOE
  • Assembly of complex electronics and some optical components for a variety of instrumentation to be used in spaceflight and related missions.
  • Involvement in design, development and testing of electronics as well as the integration and testing of related software.
  • Involvement in the production of relevant documentation as well as the calibration and testing of instrumentation.

Requirements

  • A Degree or equivalent in Physics, Electronics or a similar related discipline. (Or equivalent working experience)
  • Strong practical experience of working with analogue and digital electronics development.
  • Experience with small scale components including microscopic assembly.
  • Experience with Gold Wire Bonding and related techniques.
  • Must be available immediately to begin in Oxford
