Senior Environmental Scientist

Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

SRG is working with a leading UK consultancy company in the chemicals sector. Recently a new vacancy has opened for an environmental scientist to join their team of expert regulatory consultants. This would be a great opportunity for someone with an in depth understanding of environmental fate or ecotoxicology who is looking to join a consultancy role or have a step up in their career. Applications welcome from regulatory experts within chemicals manufacturing, regulatory bodies and consultancy backgrounds. A minimum of 2 days per week working on site from Oxfordshire will be required.

Role Description

  • Providing regulatory support with environmental assessments to ensure dossiers are compliant
  • Complying with REACH environmental hazard and risk assessment requirements
  • Study monitoring for environmental fate and ecotoxicology studies
  • Providing support and advice on CLP classifications and PBT assessments
  • Working closely with clients on various regulatory projects and providing expert environmental advice

Requirements

  • Extensive recent experience in a similar environmental science, E fate or ecotoxicologist role
  • A strong understanding of REACH regulations and CLP classifications
  • Up to date knowledge of testing practices within environmental fate and ecotoxicity
  • QSAR modelling knowledge would be beneficial
  • Ability to work onsite in a hybrid arrangement with two days onsite in Oxfordshire
  • Full right to work in the UK.
